DOLE payroll compliance and payroll audit
Review payroll items and employee records commonly checked during a DOLE payroll audit.
DOLE payroll compliance and payroll audit
Use the HR payroll audit tools to review payroll calculations and supporting employee records before an internal review or an inspection.
What to review
- Overtime: check recorded hours, approved overtime and the applicable payroll treatment.
- Night differential: review eligible night-work hours and the calculated differential.
- Holiday pay: check the holiday calendar, employee work status and the payroll treatment used for the period.
- Leave: review leave balances, approved requests and leave entries reflected in payroll.
- Time deductions: inspect attendance and timekeeping deductions and resolve items flagged for review.
- Employee records: confirm that employee details and supporting records are complete and current.
Suggested workflow
- Open the DOLE Payroll Audit report for the payroll period.
- Review each flagged item against attendance, approved schedules, leave records and employee documents.
- Correct source records or payroll entries through the normal HR/payroll workflow.
- Re-run the report and retain the reviewed output with the payroll-period records.
The audit is a review aid. It does not certify legal compliance or replace review by your HR/payroll adviser. GoDoERP does not submit documents to DOLE.
